South Central Premier U.S. Development Academy Trials for the U13-14 USSD Academy Team, for players born in 1999 and 2000, will be held at Veterans Field in West Haven. Dates to be announced soon.
BSC CT Academy Trials for the U15-16 (for players born in 1997 and 1998) & U17-18 (for players born in 1995 and 1996) USSD Academy Teams will be held on Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesdays, June 5 and June 12 at the University of Bridgeport.

ANNOUNCING BSC CONNECTICUT ACADEMY
Beginning in the 2013-14 season, the elite U-15 to U-18 boys from Beachside Soccer Club and South Central Premier will combine to form a new U.S. Soccer Development Academy club called:
BSC Connecticut Academy
- The University of Bridgeport will be the new club’s home base for games and training.
- BSC will field U15/16 and U17/18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy (10 month season) teams.
- U15/16 and U17/18 Premier (7.5 month season) teams will also be fielded by the clubs.
- The new club will be led by Mickey Kydes as Academy Director, Brian Quinn as Technical Director, Pete Doneit and Chris Bart-Williams.
- Beachside SC and South Central Premier will both continue as separate U.S. Soccer Development Academy members at the U-13/U14 age group.
“I would like to thank Beachside, South Central Premier and the United States Soccer Federation for working in such a patient and constructive manner in order to ensure the best developmental opportunity for the aspiring players from our area. With an already strong base of local towns developing young soccer players, our area has proven to be a region with remarkable talent and potential” said Mickey Kydes “Now, with the full support of the USSF, we are in an even stronger position to pursue our development goals -- offering highly motivated, committed, passionate and talented players an environment for daily training, scouting and consistent competition at the highest level of youth soccer.”

- Tryouts will also be announced soon. As has always been the case with Beachside SC and South Central Premier, assistance will available and no player should hesitate to try out for financial reasons.
- Kydes, Quinn, Doneit and Bart-Williams will serve on BSC Connecticut Academy’s Board of Directors, along with long term soccer volunteers Oliver Reid (President) and Gerry Wrynn (Vice-President.)

The South Central Premier Youth Academy Program is available for players ages 5 to 9. The philosophy of the program emphasizes individual technique and skill that is essential in the development of a young soccer player.
The structure of the program involves:
- Motor-skills warm-up
- Technical training
- Game play (4v4/5v5)
The spring Youth Academy program will be held at Yale University on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Central Avenue fields which are located next to the stables.

The United States Soccer Federation has renewed the membership of South Central Premier in the U. S. Soccer Development Academy for the 2013-14 season! South Central Premier, one of the first 64 teams selected to participate back in 2007, was once again selected by the U. S. Soccer Federation to participate in the highly competitive, nationwide U. S. Soccer Development Academy Program, for the 2013-2014 Season. The Development Academy’s revolutionary initiative is the emphasis on the development of the player by improving the daily playing environment. SCP is an inaugural member in this program and is one of only two Connecticut clubs to be selected to participate.
SCP will play some of the best teams in the United States and Canada, in the Northeast Division which includes: The Montreal Impact; The New York Red Bulls Academy; The New England Revolution; FC Westchester (Purchase, NY); Albertson SC (Plainview, NY); New York Cosmos Academy (Brooklyn, NY); Met Oval (Queens, NY); The Boston Bolts; Seacoast United (New Hampshire) United; Empire United (Syracuse, NY) and Oakwood Soccer Club (Glastonbury, Connecticut). SCP will play each of these teams twice each season, and will also play other US Soccer Development Academy teams in two, three game showcase events. During each of two "showcase" events held at varied locations in the United States each year, SCP will also play clubs from the other three Development Academy Conferences. Over 300 college coaches and many professional scouts regularly attend these showcase events.
The U. S. Soccer Development Academy is designed to enhance the U. S. National Team. It strives to provide players, coaches and referees a nationally-coordinated program to enhance their collective development and create a structured environment for high- level consistent matches for evaluation from colleges to National teams.
